what is the ASR button in my alfa romeo 156 do?

i got my alfa romeo 156 salespeed. and it has this button ASR . i wonder what does do. is it like traction control? when i need to go fast, should i on it or off it? care to explain to me

ASR stands for anti slip regulator in other words – yes, traction control. Depends on the conditions, if they’re good & grip is good then you could leave it off – also depends on your driving skill & how fast you want to go! Try it out in differing conditions at variable speeds & see how you get on.
