I’ve seen dump trucks with signs saying they’re not responsible for broken windshields and the like. How can that legally be so? If I put a sign on my car that says ‘Not responsible for wrecks,” does that clear me if I hit someone?

Over the years i have had several trucks and cars. I have accumulated extra wheels (tire rim set) and tires too, that i don’t remember what vehicle they fit without trying them on, which i don’t have the vehicles anymore. Is there a way to know just by looking at the wheels?
